In order to journal the doings of our little flock of chickens I've started yet another blog
If you are at all interested in chickens I'd love to see you over there,
also if you know of any blogs featuring chickens
I'd appreciate it if you could point me in their direction.
Thanks awfully.

Thank you so much for your comments on my blog. Off for a look through your now x
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I know about them is that my Nan used to keep them. It will be lovely when you collect your own fresh eggs!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! We always had chickens growing up (my Dad still does) and so I'll be checking in with you!
ReplyDeleteChickens definitely deserve a blog of their own.
ReplyDeleteI lived on a farm as a child and our family kept chickens in an old disused water tower, which was in our garden. I remember collecting the eggs, often still warm from the nest, and we would guess if any were double yolkers! Fresh eggs straight from the hen are the best, and the yellowist too. x
ReplyDeleteI love my chooks! Jimmy, Petunia Paisley, Lavender Leigh, Babs and Doll Face are my brood. They are all black pekin bantams and are real characters. I am hoping to get some white silkies but I might wait until next year now. We hatched our own eggs last year (Babs and Doll Face are our resulting baby hens who are now laying).
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog - we are all enjoying our gardens much more this year aren't we!! Thats what 2 rubbish summers does for you!! Your hens are adorable - quite photogenic
